Hey Jerod. Those would be great candidates for this list. I really got hung up on resources that *came out* in 2009 vs. became popular or gained attention. Next year I will be more liberal in my interpretation so I can include items released in previous years, but gaining adoption or major ground. Thanks for the suggestion!

It’d be nice to see a mention of all the new(ish) datastores in the technology section. MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis, Cassandra, et al are very exciting and made a huge impact in ‘09.
