Hi, just wanted to say thanks for such a great tutorial. This is by far the best I’ve seen on getting started with TXP. I played around with it many times in the past, only to leave frustrated at the learning curve. I followed along with a local install, and must say that I understand it a whole lot better now. Thanks again.

This is an impressive walkthrough. However, personally I think it’s a bit overwhelming for those who’d like to build a site of their own, and has no previous experience. I’d say this is for builders who have at least basic understanding of HTML coding. But nevertheless, good guide. Very thorough.

@blah – The .rtf files in the Plugins folder can be opened with TextEdit on the Mac. If you are on Windows you may need to use Word or Wordpad. They install just fine as i am doing that at this moment for a new site i’m building.

hi, is the zip file meant to contain .rtfs? none of the plugins can be uploaded, incidentally, i had to google them individually to install.

also, the forms are all rtf files. is this intentional?

You can keep textpattern’s default form.
To get rid of that sentence, go to presentation > forms > comments_display.
look for this line:
and delete it.
